Vienna International Airport is reporting a 10.3% rise in passenger traffic for February 2012.
If the figures for February 29, 2012 are removed from the equation, the year-on-year increase would have been around 6%.
The Austrian gateway also reveals that it handled 22% more transfer passengers this February than it did in the corresponding month a year ago.
Passenger traffic to Eastern Europe and Western Europe rose by 23.6% and 5.7%, respectively, over February 2011.
The number of passengers travelling to the Middle East was 4.3% higher in February 2012.
However, declines were recorded in flight movements with minus 0.5%, maximum take-off weight (MTOW) with minus 1.1% and cargo with minus 4.7%.
