Asunción’s international airport Silvio Pettirossi needs to be concessioned, Paraguay’s finance minister, Manuel Ferreira, has said.
However, Ferreira also told local press that a concession law must be approved to make rules clear.
His words come a few weeks after public works and communications minister, Salyn Buzarquis, pledged that the government would draft a concession bill by October.
Congress already tried to concession the airport in 2011, but then-president Fernando Lugo vetoed the bill and the process stalled.
