Clear Channel and Denver International Airport (DIA) have unveiled four huge 26-foot LED video towers at the US gateway.

Clear Channel Airports and Denver International Airport (DIA) have unveiled four huge 26-foot LED video towers at the US gateway.

The new digital technology will “enhance the customer experience and provide a dynamic new medium for advertisers”, the airport said.

John Ackerman, DIA’s chief commercial officer, said: “The video towers are the largest digital displays currently in any US Airport.

“More than 50 million annual passengers will see beautifully designed messages and advertising that inspire their imaginations for experiences, products and services found in Denver and around the world.

“We are very pleased to collaborate with Clear Channel Airports on this program which will significantly increase non-airline revenue and help reduce costs for our airline partners.”

In addition to the four video towers, the installation plan includes more than 118 LCD screens throughout the airport, 70-inch freestanding LCDs throughout level six of the Jeppesen Terminal, and six post-security overhead video walls.

The digital installation is part of a 10-year contract between DIA and Clear Channel Airports.

Toby Sturek, executive vice president of Clear Channel Outdoor’s specialty businesses, added: “With this advanced digital program, Denver International Airport has placed itself at the forefront of airport advertising.

“The leaders at DIA recognize the value of digital video advertising and we are now offering national and local advertisers new platforms.”
