Infraero has announced that Brazilian consortium Rodoserv Engenharia has been awarded the contract to build a new $13.4 million cargo terminal at Sâo Paulo–Guarulhos international Airport.
Designed by Infraero, the new 14,000m2 terminal will boost the airport's cargo storage capacity by 25% and better equip the gateway to handle freighter services, according to Infraero.
The consortium, which comprises Rodoserv Engenharia and Medabil Sistemas Construtivos, is expected to start work on the project next month in readiness for a July 2011 opening.
