London City Airport has appointed Patrick Burrows as its new chief financial officer.

Burrows took up the role on June 6, and will be responsible for all finance, legal and procurement matters at the airport. He joins the gateway from the clothes retailer New Look where he was group finance director.

Prior to that he spent 13 years at Tesco, where he held a number of finance director roles.

Burrows says: “After many years in the retail sector, the challenge of working in travel and aviation is a welcome one and with the Olympics next year, as well as a number of other projects and developments, it is certainly an exciting time to be coming on board.”
