Pteris installs $12.5m baggage system at Chinese Airport

Singapore-based Pteris Global has completed the installation of a $12.5 million baggage handling system at Changsha Huanghua International Airport’s Terminal 3, ahead of schedule.

The baggage system for the 220,000sqm terminal, which handles up to 15 million passengers per annum, was successfully completed and delivered in just 11 months.

Chao Guan Ming, assistant commander of Hunan Airport Group, said Pteris’ successful completion had “set a new standard in the history of China’s airport baggage handling system construction”.

He added that Pteris “not only provides quality products and services but also a highly competent and efficient project management team.”

Pteris previously completed and commissioned its first baggage handling system for Changsha Huanghua International Airport Terminal 1 in 2000.
