Chisinau International Airport in Moldova is calling on bidders to enter the prequalification stage for its multi-storey car park concession.
The invitation to apply for prequalification, via an ‘Informative Memorandum’, was published in the local press on November 25 with the deadline for the submission of bids set for January 23 next year.
According to the gateway, the estimated investment amount required for the project is around €3 million.
The concession includes upgrading the existing parking infrastructure by designing and building a multi-storey car park next to the terminal, as well as the operation and management of the car park when it is built for the duration of the 20-year contract period.
A spokesperson for the airport said the tender is open to “individuals and legal entities from Republic of Moldova, foreign countries and their associates.”
It added that the bids would be evaluated against certain criteria and that bidders should have parking management experience of at least five years.
They should also have completed at least two other projects worth at least €4million each.
Meanwhile, successful investors will also have the possibility to construct other commercial spaces on the airport land such as offices and restaurants, in addition to the car park.
The gateway said: “Construction of the multi-level parking in Chisinau Airport is a part of the airport upgrading programme, which is implemented within the framework of the airport facility development concept.
“The primary objective of the concept is to expand the passenger terminal facilities and ensure provision of a wider range of passenger services, including the construction of a convenient and modern car park.
“Chisinau Airport invites all companies with sound reputation in the market and extensive experience in construction and operation of the car parks to participate in tender.”
