Dubai Airports is inviting advertising companies to submit expressions of interest to become the official concessionaire for the upcoming Concourse 3 at Dubai International.
The concession outlined will give the winning company exclusive access to advertising operations within the US$3 billion, 528,000sqm facility, which is due to be completed by the end of 2012.
The process will run until January 5, 2012, after which Dubai Airports will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) in the first quarter of 2012 and follows the operators invitation to food and beverage companies and service operators in September earlier this year.
“We have seen significant developments in advertising performance in 2011, and considering Dubai International’s status as a global hub with a unique user profile, and as one of the world’s top five busiest airports, the case for continued growth is compelling. This represents a tremendous opportunity,” says Eugene Barry, senior vice president – commercial, Dubai Airports.
Barry added, “As the world’s first A380-dedicated facility capable of handling 19 million passengers yearly, Concourse 3 will be a very important part of our infrastructure. As a brand, Dubai Airports is globally associated with quality and innovation and we are keen to choose partners who will add to that reputation.”
