Dublin Airport’s eagerly awaited new Terminal 2 is set to open in November.  Operator DAA is confident that the 75,000sqm terminal, which is capable of handling 15mppa, will dramatically improve the “passenger experience” at the gateway. A new departures building, Pier E, is to be constructed perpendicular to the new €395 million complex, providing boarding gates and parking for up to 19 aircraft. The overall T2 project also includes improved internal campus roads network at Dublin Airport, a major utilities upgrade, a new multi-storey car park and the provision of sites for a future ground transportation centre and a planned metro station.
