Despite a month of mixed fortunes for its carriers, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport handled 827,741 passengers (+5%) and 417,893 enplanements (+6%) in July.

For while Southwest Airlines (-2.5%), American Airlines (-7%), Continental (-2%) and US Airways (-3%) all reported a decline in passengers, July proved to be a bumper month for Delta Air Lines (+53%) and JetBlue Airways (+32%).

The Texas gateway handled 12,916,047 lbs of cargo (-0.4%) compared to July 2009. Federal Express fared best of all, registering a 3.5% rise in throughput.
