Chicago architects Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB) have named Tom Chambers as their new director of aviation services.
Chambers, who will oversee the design and planning of aviation facilities, brings more than 30 years of experience to the role, including the design of United Airlines’ Terminal One at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
In addition to passenger terminals, he has been involved in projects ranging from parking facilities to air traffic control towers.
Chambers said: “It is an exciting step in my career to have an opportunity to contribute and further SCB’s ongoing success in the aviation sector. I plan to bring my varied experience in the industry to help broaden the scope of SCB’s aviation projects.”
