Birmingham Airport in the UK has opened a new retro milkshake bar that it hopes will keep its passengers cool this summer.

Located in the Departures Lounge, the 1950s American themed Ed’s Shakes claims to offer a full range of shakes and malts, including its self-proclaimed “world famous” Banana & Peanut Butter, Butterscotch and Mint Chocolate flavours.

Martyn Lloyd, commercial director at Birmingham Airport, says: "We're pleased to welcome Ed's Shakes to Birmingham Airport, which I'm sure will prove to be tremendously popular with our passengers, especially over the summer months.

"The 1950s inspired decor and menu will create an exciting atmosphere inside our departure lounge and allow passengers to grab one of these world famous shakes before they jet off."
