New art at Washington Dulles International Airport

Washington Dulles International Airport has a new collection of permanent art for passengers to enjoy.

Washington Dulles International Airport has a new collection of permanent art for passengers to enjoy.

“Wonder of Wonders” by artist Yuriko Yamaguchi, which completed installation on March 5, is located near the airport’s A-Gates AeroTrain Station.

The abstract art depicts “the journey through life and exploration of the universe”, the airport said.

The bronze artwork is specially mounted into place to accent the walkway leading to the A Concourse.

Passengers traveling through the airport will be able to touch the unique work and develop their own interpretation of the pieces on display.

“I hope this work presents an opportunity to engage passengers in communication not only about their travels but life and the world,” said Yamaguchi.

“Although this artwork is abstract, travellers can associate the pieces with something that is familiar.”
