Gatwick’s retail boss to share plans on Twitter

Spencer Sheen, Gatwick Airport’s head of retail, will host an online Q&A tomorrow covering current projects and strategy.

Sheen will be answering questions live on Twitter on Thursday August 22 from 11am until midday (GMT).

Bringing almost three decades of retail experience, Sheen joined Gatwick’s team in November 2011.

Over the last two years he has helped revamp the gateway’s shopping options, with a £21m (€25m) overhaul now underway at the South Terminal.

Ten new stores at the terminal include Harrods as well as Aspinal of London and Ernest Jones. Another 12 outlets are due to open this year.

At the North Terminal, Sheen aims to bring 15 new or modernised stores by October 2014.

In the Q&A on Thursday, Sheen will accept live questions and respond to queries posted in advance using #askgatwick via @Gatwick_Airport.
