Passenger traffic through Brussels South Charleroi soared by 25% in November as 426,237 travellers passed through the Belgian gateway.

Lappeenranta (Finland), Verona (Italy), Larnarca (Cyprus), Gothenburg and Oujda (Morocco) were among the new destinations launched from the airport during the busy month.

And the airport, which opened a new 5mppa capacity terminal in 2008 and is a major base for low-cost carrier Ryanair, has announced that it expects to experience double-digit monthly traffic growth for the next few months.
