Heathrow T2 welcomes The Gorgeous Kitchen

A collaboration between four female British TV chefs will see a new contemporary restaurant open at Heathrow’s Terminal 2: The Queen’s Terminal in June 2014.

Included in the team is Gee Charman, former chef at Kensington Palace, who has worked with celebrity chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Simon Rimmer and The Hairy Bikers.

The other collaborators include Sophie Michell, executive chef of Pont St at Belgraves hotel; Jo Pratt, author of ‘in the mood for food’; and Caroline Mi Li Artiss, one of the first chefs to be discovered on YouTube.

The Gorgeous Kitchen will specialise in global cuisine made with British-grown produce.

Alongside an a la carte offering, the 120-cover restaurant will offer ‘Express’ options and afternoon tea.

The chefs enthused: “We’re overjoyed to be flying the flag for Britain on such an international platform.

“For us, The Gorgeous Kitchen is about delivering honest flavours with quality produce and great British hospitality in a warm and approachable environment.”

Décor includes an open theatre kitchen, counter dining, banquette seating and airfield views.

Terminal 2, due to open on June 4, 2014, is the latest phase of the ten-year, £11bn transformation at Heathrow.
