Schiphol app hits one million downloads

Amsterdam Schiphol’s free app has been downloaded more than a million times since its launch in 2010.

The Schiphol App – available on Android, Apple, Blackberry and Windows products – offers current flight information, push notifications and information about the airport’s shops and facilities.

Travellers can also reserve a parking space or a taxi.

A recent update has given the app a new ‘look and feel’ and more user-friendliness.

The menu now shows a list of flights from which registered users can select their journey.

Flight information is now available to share via Facebook, Twitter, SMS and email.

The new version allows users to set push notifications per flight, even if they don’t have an account.

Maps of Schiphol’s car parks have also been added.
