The Swedish family company's burgers are popular in Göteborg and the eatery at Landvetter airport is its fifth in the area, and air travellers and visitors will be be able to get burgers made with Swedish beef and chicken and bacon.
Charlotte Ljunggren, airport director at Göteborg Landvetter, explains: “Good quality, service and a wide variety is what we want to give our travellers at Landvetter.
“Therefore, it is great fun to welcome Max to the airport. Getting here a Swedish fast food chain with distinct environmental is another plus. Travel experience starts already at the airport and there is supply of food and drink a considerable part.
“The new Max restaurant must not least all our families an easily accessible and convenient option either at the start of their journey or at homecoming.”
Max climate declare their products and offsets 100% their carbon footprint by planting trees in Uganda, and Richard Bergfors, president of Max, says the firm is "thrilled" to be opening.
He adds: “We invest in the Göteborg area, since we know that many guests appreciate our burgers. Landvetter is a milestone for us.”
The opening is in collaboration with SSP, which operates several restaurants in the airport, and will run Max restaurant's operation, and 50 employees have been recruited.
