Nuance introduces online duty free service at Kempegowda

Travellers using Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru can now pre-order online at their convenience and collect duty-free products at the airport.

For the first time in India, passengers can shop through the new service from Nuance India.

All products available at the duty-free stores will be represented at www.bengalurudutyfree.in - across categories including spirits and wines, accessories and chocolates.

The pre-ordering service through the online shopping portal has been introduced to allow passengers to choose from a wide selection of duty-free goods at leisure.

All applicable discounts and promotions will also be available upon purchase online.

GV Sanjay Reddy, MD, Bangalore International Airport Limited, says: “We are committed to elevating the experience of passengers at every touch point at the airport and the web has opened up numerous opportunities for engagement.

“Our success is dependent on the efforts of our partners and I must commend Nuance India for this initiative which creates new opportunities to delight passengers.

“Bangalore is known for its technology prowess and it is fitting that this service is launched here for the first time in India. Nuance India has introduced this service to cater to the busy, tech-savvy passengers, who constitute the majority of international passengers.”

The shopping portal can be accessed by passengers over the age of 18 and has been designed in a manner that is easy to navigate and select the products of choice.

The website is also compatible across form factors, including laptops / desktops, smartphones and tablets.

It gives travellers the opportunity to plan purchases prior to their journey, order products through the website and collect them at the airport upon showing their passport.

This service ensures that even those passengers who don’t have the time to browse through the vast selection at the duty-free outlet have the opportunity to take home products and gifts for themselves and their loved ones.

Anirban Dutta Chowdhury, country head, Nuance India, comments: “This new initiative will not only save time for the travellers, but also brings exciting offers, discounts and widest range of liquor, perfumes & cosmetics, confectionery and electronics all online at our website.

“After you have cleared security, just come to our duty free store, show your passport, and pick up your selected items. And, if you have missed out the pre-booking while leaving the country, you can still do so before boarding your flight back to Bengaluru and collect your purchases after your travel upon arrival.

“The ease and comfort of shopping doesn’t get better than this.”
