Incheon boss praises staff for airport's customer service success

Incheon's president and CEO, Park Wan-su, has heaped praise on the airport's staff following the announcement that his gateway was named best airport in Asia-Pacific for the tenth successive year in ACI's annual customer satisfaction survey.

Commenting on his airport's 2014 success in ACI's Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey, Park said: "Incheon started small as an airport in Northeast Asia that no one took much notice of, but not anymore as we have achieved some notable successes that include the almost miraculous record of being named the world’s leading airport for customer service for ten years in a row.

"I am humbled and thankful for the efforts and contribution of the 40,000 Incheon Airport employees.

"I can also promise you that Incheon Airport's staff will continue their qualitative and quantitative development, backed by the support of the government and the public, in the years ahead. Our aim remains to be the world's best airport in all sectors of our operations."

In the latest ASQ results, for the calendar year 2014, Incheon was named Best Airport in Asia-Pacificand Best Airport handling over 40 million passengers per annum.

It claims that the by size category is "especially meaningful" as it faced fierce competition from airports such as Singapore Changi and Beijing Capital International Airport.

The ASQ Award ceremony is to take place on April 28, during the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference and Exhibition in Jordan.
