Mad Mex arrives at Brisbane Airport

Brisbane Airport has unveiled an exciting new addition to its food and beverage offering – a Mexican restaurant called Mad Mex.

The new restaurant, Mad Mex – Fresh Mexican Grill to give it its full name, is the latest new F&B offering to come to the airport's International Terminal as part of its A$45 million redevelopment.

Since opening its doors on Level 4 of the International Terminal on March 1, visitors, passengers and airport staff have been treated to fresh, customised and authentic Mexican street food staples including crispy tacos, slow roasted beef and pork, burritos, nachos and quesadillas.

Brisbane is only the second airport location in Australia to get the popular restaurant chain.

Operated by Spotless, the new store design incorporates two previous tenancies into one large inline tenancy, including a dedicated seating area, colourful Mad Mex branding and unique Corona bottle chandeliers.

According to the gateway, the inclusion of Mad Mex as part of the F&B offering at BNE International was a result of passenger feedback about the availability of more choice of fresh, healthy, quality fast food options at the terminal.

Brisbane Airport’s A$45 million redevelopment of the International Terminal is nearing completion with 70% of the facelift now complete.

The terminal now boasts 10 brand new F&B and retail stores that include Tuk Chop; Burger Urge; Boost Juice; Windmill & Co; Corretto Bar & Café; The Botanist;  JR/Watch Co; JR/Duty Free; Billabong and Merino Collection.
