Design teams appointed for Taiwan Taoyuan's new Terminal 3

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport's new £1.5 billion Terminal 3 is a step closer to reality following the appointent of its design teams.

The joint venture comprising Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP), CECI Engineering Consultants, Ove Arup and Partners dnd Fei & Cheng Associates will design the new 45mppa capacity complex.

While London based The Design Solution has been selected to consult as part of the design team for the new 640,000sqm terminal, which is scheduled for completion in 2020. 

The winning designs of the international joint venture are said to be inspired by Taiwan’s landscapes and oceans and feature a fluid architectural concept protected by an elegantly shaped hard-shell roof.
