The gateway announced the deal today following the signing of a franchise agreement with strategic developers Urban&Civic, which has secured planning permission for the new addition next to the terminal.
The hotel will be located on a two acre plot of land acquired from MAG Property, the property and development division of Manchester Airports Group (MAG) – the owners of Stansted Airport.
It will form part of MAG’s £260m investment plan to attract more passengers, airlines and long-haul services to Stansted, the fastest growing airport in the UK.
Work is due to start on the stylish new hotel by the end of the year and Hampton by Hilton Stansted Airport is set to open with direct terminal access in summer 2017.
It will be the largest Hampton by Hilton in Europe.

London Stansted, the UK capital's 'other' major gateway after Heathrow and Gatwick, is located 45km from central London and claims to be the nation's fastest growing airport in 2015 based on the 22 milliion passengers to pass through its facilities this year.
