Now in its eleventh year, the awards are voted for by Priority Pass Members who believe that it is the best of the 850 lounges in its network.
And it is no stranger to success having won the regional European Award in 2014, 2009, 2008 and 2005, the Global Award in 2012.
Located in the only bi-national airport in the world, the award winning 1,700 square metere lounge, which is owned by EuroAirport and operated by Swissport, is said to "combine the craftsmanship of Swiss and French architecture and design".
According to Priroty Pass, its standout features include a unique vast glass dome that brings natural light into the heart of the lounge, a spacious terrace overlooking the airport runway and exotic palm trees that surround a tranquil pool of water.
Regionally, the Crown Lounge at Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan won the prize for the best facility in Africa & the Middle East; the Louis Tavern CIP First Class Lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabumi the award for the best lounge in Asia-Pacific while the Salon VIP Lounge at Québec Jean Lesage International Airport and the Aeroportos VIP Club facility at Brasilia International Airport took the accolades in the North America and Latin America & Caribbean regions respectively.

Priority Pass received over 100,000 votes from its members in this year’s poll, up from 84,000 votes last year, making it the highest volume of votes since the awards began.
