It is the seventh time that Calgary Airport Authority has been acknowledged for cultivating a vibrant workplace for its more than 300 employees who work to develop, maintain and operate one of Canada’s busiest airports.
“While we have developed a number of programmes to enrich the employees’ work experience at the airport authority, the employees themselves are a huge part of bringing those programmes to life through their enthusiasm and commitment,” says Cynthia Tremblay, the gateway's vice president of human resources.
“The programming that is available at the airport authority has become one of our defining factors as an employer and has given us the ability to attract and retain the best talent to help us grow Alberta’s aviation hub of choice.”
The airport authority's key employee offerings include: ongoing opportunities for professional development, a one-year orientation programme, a robust benefits and pension plan, meaningful student work opportunities and a peer-to-peer recognition programme.
Additionally, its employees have the opportunity to participate in numerous volunteer and social initiatives such as lunchtime yoga, Calgary Corporate Challenge, a triennial employee retreat and opportunities to volunteer at the Mustard Seed.
