Spanish born Echegaray has held several management positions with Spanish airport operator AENA, including being deputy director of Palma de Mallorca Airport between 1985 and 1999 before being appointed director of operations for Mexico's Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico in 2000.
From 2003 to 2004 he was the deputy CEO of Tenerife South Airport before holding the same positions for the Canary Islands airports (2004 to 2006) Barcelona-El Prat International Airport (2006 to 2012).
Since 2012 he has been the director of the Spanish airport network at AENA.
Echegaray will manage and develop Groupe ADP's network of 23 airports in France and around the world and will report to the executive director in charge of international affairs for Groupe ADP, Antonin Beurrier.
