cocktail drinkers offered virtual reality trip in Virgin's airport lounges

Bacardi Global Travel Retail and Virgin Atlantic have taken their long-standing relationship and shared passion for taking cocktail experiences to a new level this autumn, by bringing Virgin Clubhouse customers a unique way to enjoy their cocktails while they wait for their flight.

Running through until the end of 2017, the new Immersive Digital 360 Drinks Experience allows a virtual visit to some of the best bars in the world to experience one of the signature drinks on their menu, created by award-winning bartenders with spirits from the Bacardi portfolio, without leaving the Clubhouse.

Simply order a cocktail from New York, for example, while sat at Heathrow, and be transported to the partner bar by the magic of virtual reality.

After watching the cocktail made right in front of the customer in the actual bar and removing the headset, the drink is waiting for them to enjoy.

Virgin Clubhouse's food and beverage manager, Mark Murphy, travelled the world filming the best bars in high definition 360-degree video for this campaign.
