Host of new F&B outlets coming to Phoenix Sky Harbour

A number of new dining options are headed to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport as part of the Arizona gateway's modernisation programme for Terminal 3.

Global restaurateur HMSHost, in partnership with KIND Hospitality, Inc and Emerging Domestic Market Ventures, LLC, has been awarded a 12-year contract worth around $264 million to bring an outstanding line-up of new F&B locations to the airport’s modernised Terminal 3.

The new outlets will include a line-up of Phoenix favourites such as Joyride Taco House and Postino as well as popular brands like Shake Shack, Panera Bread and Starbucks.

While SSP America has signed a 10-year deal to develop five separate F&B concepts covering a total of 19,933 square feet of concession space in the North and South Concourses of Terminal 3.
“HMSHost is honoured to be a part of the airport’s modernisation, bringing Phoenix travellers a unique mix of on-trend local and national dining favourites,” says HMSHost's vice president of business development, Stephen Douglas.

“Along with our local restaurant partners, we thank Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and the City of Phoenix for our continued partnership to enhance the airport experience with great food and drink options for many years to come.”

HMSHost will also debut the PHX Food Hall in the Terminal 3 South Concourse. This new open and inviting space will include Panera Bread, local food truck favorite Mustache Pretzels, as well as Shake Shack’s critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand.
Greeting travellers in the new Terminal 3, expected to open in late 2018, is The Parlor pizzeria, a local restaurant voted #1 by Arizonans for their artisan pizza and handmade pastas.

HMSHost's new food and beverage locations are expected to begin to open later this year and into early 2020, aligning with the airport’s modernization project. Additional restaurant details will be available in the coming months.

Meanwhile, SSP America's executive vice president, Pat Murray, comments: “PHX continues to grow with robust passenger increases, extensive growth in concessions, and an impressive upsurge in food and beverage sales between 2011-2016 in Terminal 4.

"PHX continued level of progress is a direct result of the Aviation Department’s proactive inward investment. SSP America is enormously proud to be a part of this continued investment and is deeply honoured to have been awarded this significant new contract.

"Our portfolio features no less than nine award-winning local brands which will not only give PHX passengers a true taste of place, but also keep jobs and revenues contributing back to the Valley of the Sun community.”
