The move follows the launch of two Dixons Travel stores in Oslo last year, building on the retailer’s European presence and adding to 29 existing stores across UK and Ireland.
With more than 167,000 passengers a day, Frankfurt airport’s increasing footfall has seen it rise to one of the busiest airports in Europe; providing the opportunity for Dixons Travel to offer their proposition to a continually expanding customer base.
As one of Germany’s largest business hubs, Düsseldorf was also a natural choice. With a focus on high-end computing and mobile technology, it corresponds closely with the Dixons Travel product offering.
The new stores will follow the same format that was launched in Heathrow Terminal 3 in 2017, which has been shortlisted in the 2018 World Retail Awards.
With a digital concept design, the stores feature a unique proposition offering customers top electrical brands with a varied product range including computing, audio, imaging, phones and smart appliances.
The stores include dedicated product demonstration areas, a mobile phone charging area, Team Knowhow experts on hand to offer repairs and fixes to existing technology, plus smart-controlled tech for shoppers to try out.

The five stores are set to open during spring 2018 in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf airports, providing passengers with the chance to purchase the latest technology in time for the first and last flights of the day.
