The FAA has awarded New Orleans Aviation Board $4 million in Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funds for its North Perimeter Road Improvements project.
The North Perimeter Road Improvement is a critical safety enhancement project that will help reduce the chance of a runway incursion by providing a paved access roadway around the airfield. The project will widen the perimeter road and upgrade the surface from gravel to concrete.
“We are pleased with the FAA’s response to our requests and their continued support of the modernisation of our facilities at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport,” says director of aviation Iftikhar Ahmad.
