Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC) is seeking contractors to bid for the third phase of expansion at Dubai International Airport.
The next phase of the expansion involves a new departures area and check–in hall at Terminal 2. In addition, the existing lounges, baggage and arrivals halls will also get a revamp.
DACC is requesting pre-qualification submissions for the superstructure; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP; SAS; finishes; and site works for the project.
The closing date for submissions is midday on 23 June.
A spokesperson for Dubai Airports, said: "We are expecting 7.2% passenger traffic growth and 6.7% cargo growth on average annually over the next 10 years. In response to the anticipated growth, we have been developing a master plan to provide the required capacity. We will announce details once everything is finalised."
