Contractors to bid for Dubai International expansion

 

Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC) is seeking contractors to bid for the third phase of expansion at Dubai International Airport.

The next phase of the expansion involves a new departures area and check­–in hall at Terminal 2. In addition, the existing lounges, baggage and arrivals halls will also get a revamp.

 

DACC is requesting pre-qualification submissions for the superstructure; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP; SAS; finishes; and site works for the project.

 

The closing date for submissions is midday on 23 June.

 

A spokesperson for Dubai Airports, said: "We are expecting 7.2% passenger traffic growth and 6.7% cargo growth on average annually over the next 10 years. In response to the anticipated growth, we have been developing a master plan to provide the required capacity.  We will announce details once everything is finalised."
