San Francisco International Airport has issued Requests For Proposals (RFPs) to run the gateway’s luggage carts and vending machines.
The airport has issued two separate RFPs.
The first is for the luggage cart lease and operating agreement, and the airport has invited potential bidders to attend a conference at 10am on Wednesday 13 July, to discuss the details.
The lease and operating agreement involves the installation, operation and management of the luggage cart service programme throughout San Francisco International Airport.
The minimum acceptable proposal amount has been set at $610,000, which will be the successful company’s minimum annual guarantee for the first year of the lease.
The proposed term for the lease is five years with one option to extend the term for two years thereafter.
The second RFP refers to the ‘International Terminal Automated Retail Lease’. A briefing regarding this lease will take place on Thursday 14 July.
It is comprised of three locations in the international terminal for vending machines, and the minimum acceptable proposal amount for this lease is $500,000.
