Halifax Stanfield International Airport has commenced work on the 2010 portion of its airfield restoration programme.
Three taxiways are being upgraded to enhance safety and reliability, with work being carried out in phases through to mid-October to minimise disruption on airfield operations.
Following a competitive tendering process, this year’s work was awarded to Dexter Construction Company Limited, part of the Municipal Group of Companies of Bedford, Nova Scotia. Total funding for the 2010 programme is C$7 million.
