The Nuance Group has opened a new Lindt chocolate shop at Zurich Airport as part of a €17.4 million investment programme into its European operations.
The Lindt store at Zurich is a first for the travel retail industry and offers various unique elements to give passengers a more personalised shopping experience.
Passengers will be able to select from a full range of Lindt chocolates and relax with a cup of Lindt Hot or Iced Chocolate at the ‘Chocolate Bar’ before boarding their flight.
There is also the opportunity for passengers to ‘Pick & Mix’ from a wide selection of the chocolatier’s most popular products.
Meanwhile, Nuance is set to develop the concept even further next month with the addition of a separate ice cream counter.
Andrea Belardini, CEO Europe for the Nuance Group, said: “This opening marks a new stage in our long-term collaboration with Lindt, who share our passion in creating innovative retail experiences for customers.
“This new store concept further reinforces our expansive retail portfolio at Zurich, and reaffirms our commitment to delivering a world-class retail environment.”
This year Nuance plans to invest around €17.4 million in its European operations, refurbishing or developing more than 7,500sqm of retail space across its portfolio.
Last month, Nuance launched Switzerland’s first arrivals stores at Geneva and Zurich, and is set to add a second arrival store at Zurich this month.
Furthermore, later this year, Nuance will introduce new walk-through concepts for its existing tax-free stores at Zurich, as well as a new walk-through store at Lisbon.
