SSP will operate six food and beverage outlets at Vienna International Airport’s new Skylink Terminal, which opens for business next year.

The €70 million, five-year contract marks SSP’s first venture into the Austrian market.

The new facilities will include an outlet from the luxurious food emporium Meinl, one of Vienna’s premier addresses for gourmets and connoisseurs since 1862.

Other new additions will include a Caffè Ritazza, Panopolis bakery and an Austrian wine bar.

Franz Svoboda, head of centre management at Vienna International Airport said: "We were impressed with SSP’s scale, operational capability and a flexible approach that enables them to offer a broad range of exciting and interesting concepts that will reflect the personality of our airport."

The new venture is expected to generate around 60 new jobs at the airport.
