The much-anticipated privatisation of Spain’s Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona-El Prat airports makes top billing this week with the news that seven consortiums are bidding to operate the gateways.
Also making the headlines are ACI – which has announced its support for a third runway at Hong Kong International Airport – and Dublin following the announcement that it is to trial a full-body scanner.
Celebrating good times are Montréal–Trudeau, which enjoyed its 70th birthday on September 1; Grand Forks in North Dakota, which opened its new terminal on the same day; and San Diego which has opened a host of new shops and restaurants.
Last, but not least, find out more about the challenges facing airport CEOs and book your place at the upcoming Airport Leadership and Change Management Forum in Dublin.
